WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – On Thanksgiving, children at the Quantam House were treated to a special day of art and music.
The Quantam House is located next to Saint Mary’s Medical Center and a place where families of sick children can go for support.
The director of the program says it’s amazing to see how a little creativity can produce a big smile.
“Every time I go I see a miracle or something happen and I say, ‘OK, I’m going to go home and write another grant because this is really worthwhile, what we do,'” said Ginny Meredith, the executive director of Inspirit.
Inspirit has brought art and music to dozens of care centers throughout Palm Beach County.

Inspirit was recently highlighted in a wonderful article in the Spring/Summer 2015 edition of the award-winning art&culture magazine. The magazine is dedicated to covering the arts and cultural community of The Palm Beaches.
We would like to thank Amy Woods and The Cultural Council of Palm Beach County for our beautiful four page spread.

$22,500 was raised for Inspirit on May 1st at the home of Michael and Lisa Tiernan of Delray Beach. We would like to thank them for a beautiful evening.
As a professional musician, I know that music is a gift that gives in every way.
Yet during this holiday season, it’s especially important to know that Inspirit provides the gift of live music – for the less fortunate, and sometimes forgotten, people who are in restricted environments and therefore can’t get out to experience it ~ year-round!
Making a holiday donation to Inspirit will help the organization send quality live performers to entertain military veterans, the elderly, Alzheimer’s patients, developmentally disabled children, and others restricted to hospitals, pediatric centers, rehabilitation centers and more.
Music can fill a void in a lonely heart; trigger a memory that can take you back decades, bring comfort in times of sorrow, and convey joy and happiness. It’s a timeless energy that can bridge generations and bring people together. With more than three decades of service in all kinds of musical situations, I have seen this many times. Giving the gift of music through Inspirit can often mean seeing immobile people clap their hands and tap their feet, and people who can’t speak sing along to a favorite song. Those who can’t walk find a way to dance; those who show no emotion find it within themselves to smile.
In 2015, Inspirit would like to serve even more children through a partnership with the Honda Classic’s Annual Birdies for Children program. It serves 501(c)3 organizations by generating additional fundraising dollars through an exciting contest that culminates in a grand-prize winner driving home in a brand-new 2015 Honda!
1. Click the DONATE button on our website to donate directly to Inspirit like in years past.
OR
2. Click on the Honda Classic link: http://www.thehondaclassic.com/birdies-for-children/donate/Inspirit/ to participate in the Honda Classic Birdies for Children Program where Inspirit will receive a 10% matching bonus, and you will have the opportunity to win a brand new Honda. With your donation of $20 or more, you will receive the opportunity to make a guess, or guesses, on the number of birdies made at the 2015 Honda Classic. The person coming closest to the actual number wins a new car! The Honda Classic collects all donations, and then writes checks back to Inspirit for 100% of the money plus a 10% matching bonus.
Please consider a tax-deductible donation to Inspirit to help us continue our mission to serve the under-served through the gift of music all year-round. Any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
Happy Holidays!

South Florida Bond Traders Association conference brings together fixed income professionals and donates $20,000 to local charities
Over 350 fixed income professionals from throughout the country gathered at the Boca Raton Resort and Club February 6-8 for the 2014 South Florida Bond Traders Association (SFBTA) Conference. The conference, in its third year, has created a unique format that benefits professionals and the local community. It offered attendees the opportunity to participate in product-specific discussions on current issues facing the securities trading industry and attend networking events to help develop and deepen professional relationships.
Part of the mission of the South Florida Bond Traders Association is to support local South Florida charities. Each year members are asked to nominate organizations that have had a meaningful impact on their lives and our community. This year’s recipients are: Angel’s Pediatric Heart House (APHH) which provides support to families with children with Congenital Heart Defects and Childhood Acquired Heart Disease; HelpHOPELive for Jayme Mirsky a friend of SFBTA raising money for her lifesaving liver transplant; Inspirit brings live music and the performing arts to members of our community who are isolated or living in restricted environments; and Place of Hope at The Haven Campus which recently expanded to bring family-style residential foster care to the South County area. “We are pleased to be able to support these organizations that have a positive impact on our community. A portion of the proceeds from our conference enables us to generously support their work”, said George Barbar, President of the South Florida Bond Traders Association.
